Our Merzouga camel treks depart from our accommodation in Merzouga at around 5 pm and includes stops along the dunes of erg chebbi for pictures, a nice spot to catch the sunset, camel ride to the camp, ment tea and sweet cookies upon arrival, be showen to your beautiful ensuite private tent with private western bathroom and hot shower, dinner under the stars beside the bonfire, local music and dance, overnight stay.

Next day early morning wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, back to the camp for breakfast, camel ride return to Merzouga, end of our erg chebbi camel trek at around 9:30am

Our camp is in the middle of the dunes of erg chebbi, it’s very isolated, nowhere closer to the luxury camps, a basic berber tents with bedding and blankets, dunes are in every direction.
We meet at our accommodation in Merzouga, go for an hour camel riding thru the dunes of erg chebbi, stops along the dunes, a nice spot for the sunset, check in your berber tent, dinner under the stars beside the bonfire, overnight stay.

Next day an early morning wake up to climb the dunes, no need to set your alarm clock somebody will wake u up, catch the sunrise, ride the camels back to Merzouga with the possibility to shower at the end of the trek, breakfast, end of our erg chebbi camel riding tour.

MERZOUGA ARRIVAL AND CAMEL RIDE

1.- Arrival to our loadge in Merzouga: Your camel ride journey begins in the town of Merzouga, where you meet our camel guide and prepare for the trek.
2.- Camel Ride to the Camp: In the late afternoon, embark on a camel tour into the erg chebbi desert.
3.- Sunset in the Dunes: As you approach the camp, you’ll have the opportunity to witness a stunning desert sunset over the dunes.
4.- First Erg Chebbi Camp Setup, Basic Stay: Your camp for the first night is a traditional Berber-style camp with comfortable tents equipped with basic amenities.
5.- Dinner and Entertainment: Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner around a campfire accompanied by local songs and drumming.

EXPLORING THE DUNES

1.- Sunrise Experience: Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. The play of colors on the sand is a highlight of the experience.
2.- Breakfast: Have a hearty breakfast at the camp before setting out for more exploration on camels.
3.- Dune Exploration: Spend the day exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes. Our camel guide will take you to some of the highest dunes, providing panoramic views of the surrounding desert.
4.- Lunch in the Desert: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of the dunes.
5.- Free Time: In the afternoon, you will have some free time to relax, take photographs, or simply soak in the unique atmosphere of the desert.
6.- Second Night, Luxury Erg Chebbi Camp: Head to the luxury camp in the late afternoon to prepare for another evening in the desert, hot showers and flushing bathrooms are available.

RETURN TO MERZOUGA

1.- Morning Activities: Depending on your schedule, you can go for a final sunrise experience in the dunes.
2.- Breakfast at the camp
3.- 4×4 Ride Back to Merzouga: Bid farewell to the desert and embark on a 4×4 ride back to Merzouga.
