4-DAY PRIVATE MOROCCO TOUR TO THE MERZOUGA DUNES (2 NIGHTS IN DESERT – OPTION 2)
From Marrakech to Fez

This 4-day tour begins in Marrakech and ends in Fez with two nights in the desert, one in a luxury tent camp and another with a nomadic family in the heart of the Sahara, including camel routes through the dunes. We will also visit Ait Ben Haddou, the Todra and Dades gorges, oases in the desert and Ouarzazate among many other places.

ITINERARY

DAY
1

Marrakech — High Atlas Mountains — Ait Ben Haddou — Ouarzazate — Dades Gorges

Your guide and driver will pick you up around 8:00 a.m. At your hotel or riad, we will start the 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes to Erg Chebbi dunes passing through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the high Atlas mountains. , where you will enjoy wonderful views along the way and the Berber villages and valleys, discovering the traditional adobe kasbahs.
Then we will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where we will visit the town and also take the opportunity to eat there.
After lunch, we will drive towards Ouarzazate where we will have the option of visiting the Atlas studios and the Taourirt kasbah, then to the Dades gorges through the Skoura oasis and the valley of roses where we will spend the night in a riad or kasbah Traditional Moroccan style.

2

Dades Gorges — Todra Gorges — Erfoud – Rissani — Merzouga — Erg Chebbi Dunes

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go from the Dades gorges to the Erg Chebbi desert in the Sahara, through small Berber villages, we will pass through the Todra valley and the Todra gorges, where we will take a short walk to admire the beauty of the place.
Then to Tinjdad where we will stop for lunch, then on the way to Jorf and Erfoud, from here we will feel the beginning of the Sahara.
Once we arrive in Merzouga we will take a short break and then go to the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes where the camels will be waiting for us to take us to the camp. We will enjoy a one-hour camel ride, halfway we will stop to see a beautiful sunset over the dunes.
Upon arrival at the camp, you will be greeted with tea and sweet biscuits and taken to your private luxury tent.
After dinner, a fire will be lit and we will enjoy live music of drums, songs and Berber dances under the stars.

3

More camel routes entering the desert – Night with the nomads

We will wake up early to see the sunrise and then have a delicious breakfast at the camp, free time to relax under the desert sun and surrounded by camels and sand.
When the camels are ready, they will take us to a hidden oasis in the middle of the dunes where we will have lunch, then we can climb the highest sand dunes and take some beautiful panoramic photos, you can also enjoy the sand and even go sandboarding.
Then, on the back of our camels we will go to meet a nomadic family that lives in the desert, you will meet the hosts and with whom we will share tea and chat with them, we will have a typical nomadic meal and we will sleep in their camp.

4

Merzouga — Erfoud — Errachidia — Midelt — Cedar (monkey) forest — Fez

We will wake up early again to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara desert, we will pick up and return by camel to the hotel in Merzouga to have breakfast there and clean up a little.
Back on the roads, we will head north towards Fez through the Middle Atlas Mountains. This route will take us through Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia and Medilt.
We will stop for lunch and take photos of monkeys in the wild in the cedar forests of Azrou before arriving in Fez. Once there we will take you to your accommodation or the place you indicate.
