There best way is to take a CTM bus from Marrakech towards Zagora. From Zagora, take a Grand Taxi to M'hamid.

The other option is to take a Grand Taxi. The entire taxi cost Dirham 480 to hire from Marrakech to Quarzazate. If you are willing to squeeze into the back of the taxi with three others, while having 2 sit in the front seat, it will cost 80 Dirham each. The taxi will only leave once it is full. When you get to Quarzazate, take another taxi to Tinehir Zagora or M'hamid.

If you are interested in visiting the Kasbah at Ait Benhaddou and the Draa Valley on your way to the desert, then a 3 day (minumum) tour with Omar is your best bet. This way, you need not worry about haggling with the taxi driver or worrying about where you are going to spend the night. The price of the tour depends on how many people sign up for it. The more people there is, the cheaper it will be for everyone.

Catch the CTM bus from Fez to Er Rachidia . From Er Rachidia, take another bus to Quarzazate. From Quarzazate, take either a Grand Taxi or another CTM bus to Zagora. From Zagora, take a petit taxi to M'hamid.

You can try to hire a grand taxi to take you to Er Rachidia and then change for another grand taxi to take you all the way to either Tinehir or Quarzazate.
